TRIATHLETE'S FUTURE EYE WEAR

Advances in technology have provided us with, yet, another tool. This time, it is the GoogleGlass. While not, yet, commercially available, it is being tested in in a number of industries. One of them is health care.

The Ohio State University's Wexner Medical Center has been a leader in research and innovative methods of health care delivery. To this point, several weeks ago, Christopher Kaeding, MD, one of the foremost experts in the knee ACL reconstruction surgery performed such procedure wearing the GoogleGlass. This short clip speaks for itself.

It is very exciting to to be a part of the sports medicine and ambulatory rehabilitation team at the OSU. At the recent health care conference dedicated to innovative health care delivery, I had an opportunity to give the GoogleGlass a "dry run."

I can definitely see a future for it in triathlons, one day.
