The Day After
Ironman Lake Placid 2007 is history. The race report(s) are forthcoming. All IRONTOM team members have finished the race on July 22nd and look forward to next challenges. Below are those who competed and, of course, those who supported us there.

YAHOO! a belated Prouty update...

Really?.......
..... but everybody says, swimming is good for you.
This picture was taped to my office door this week before heading out to Ironman Lake Placid. It may be hard to read, though.
It says, "Tomasz, I waited at the pool for you until my paws turned into prunes. TomCat"
Are we beginning to attract domesticated animals, now?
Audrey Prouty Century Ride
BEST OF LUCK to our mighty team of racers heading to Lake Placid this weekend! It will surely be an event to remember!
Tomomma, Tomboy and NewTom had an event of their own last weekend...the Audrey Prouty Memorial Century Ride for Cancer Research. You can read all about how the 100 mile ride went here. NewTom and SisterK rode the 50 miler and rocked it too (perhaps a report is forthcoming?)!

Have a fantastic weekend and RACE FAST!!!

Hot Off The "Press"
Team IRONTOM "models" proudly display the newest Support Team attire. The T's will be worn by the team's Support Crew at Ironman Lake Placid on Sunday, July 22nd and other races. Yes, only 5 days left to IM Lake Placid. Thanks to TOMahawk and Leslie for all their help.
Another Racing Success Story
TOMomma takes 5th woman overall and 3rd in the (F 35-39) age group at the 31st Annual John Langhan's Green Miles Road Race on July 4th in Woodstock, VT. Her blazing speed propelled her to a 55:03 finish time. Although disappointingly, not the 7.2 miles as advertised, the 7.0 challenging miles nonetheless went through beautiful Woodstock's rolling hills.
"I'm unfortunately painfully unaware of just how beautiful the hills were as I was struggling to hold onto my race position (and my breakfast), losing both my 3rd and 4th place positions on the biggest damn hill in VT. At least this year the race started earlier in the morning, avoiding any of the typical 90 degree (+) race day temperatures, and we had the added incentive of maple syrup if we made it to the podium. I brought home the syrup baby! Next year we should hope for a greater TEAM IRONTOM representation!"

Some Need All The Help They Can Get
It may appear that our teammate, TOMahawk, has trouble remembering the number of days left to his first D-Day (Ironman Lake Placid). He probably has been training too hard. Fortunately, his family is there to assist him with all the logistical support. Among them, providing a daily countdawn. Below is a daily updated reminder hanging outside TOMahawk's front porch greeting him every day as he returns home. We are confident now he will not miss it.

The Lake Was Angry That Day ...........
...... but despite strong winds and currents, eight brave UV Rays Master Swimmers dove into Lake Mascoma last Sunday, while two others stayed on land to document the event. T2 was the only Team IRONTOM member who took the plunge. He was also the one who only needed his lower body floatation support.
The swim culminated with a grill party at Kim's house. It was a very enjoyable and relaxing Sunday afternoon. Thank you Kim and Fred.
